Our Venue: A closer look.
A few weeks ago, our venue had a mini Bridal Bazaar for all of their clients to come see the place decorated and get ideas for their weddings.
It was a real intimate setting. There were probably about 25 people that were not vendors checking out everything. I brought 3 with me. :)
I was able to drag my MOH, my MOM, and my DAD along so that they could see the venue all decorated for a wedding. They had never seen it decorated before and they were having a hard time picturing it.
Then, I realized, my readers probably don't have a great idea of where I will be getting married either. So, without further ado, here is Riverwalk Golf Course...
This is outside where the ceremony will take place. I will be using the white chairs, but they had the other ones there for people to consider using them. How great do the flower balls on the shepherds hooks look?! I am thinking about making them myself! :) Oh and from left to right is: my MOM, ME, my MOH.
Look how adorable this belly bar is!!! The ribbon around the bottom is the PERFECT color to match our wedding colors. This is definitely a feature I am considering.
They had several tables set up, but I could not keep my eyes off of this one. It is SO unique and gorgeous! What I found interesting is that the candles used on this table are the exact candles that we will be using at our wedding as favors for our guests.
Here is another view of the table :) I just can't get enough of it!
So, those are just a few teasers! There will be more to come in the future.
In the meantime, I have a random questions that I would like to find out... Has your venue raised their rates because of the economy?
Take care until next time,

Love it - your venue looks beautiful! Before we started planning our destination wedding, we had a venue booked here in Charleston for about 6 months. They were actually lowering their prices because of the economy, to try and make sure they could get business. They should never raise the rates on anything without giving you notice in writing.
How exciting! Loved the venue/decor, and the table looks amazing!
That looks great! I like the white chairs alot more than the dark ones as well. It's going to be amazing!
It's funny how you can picture your wedding happening when you see the venue and how other's struggle with it. I'm running into those same problems.
Our venue actually rolled their prices back to their 2006 rates because of the economy. But we had to lock that rate in for 2010 now.
Love everything and all the things in your wedding colors...couldn't be better!!!
your venue looks so nice... i like the gold/brown. i'm not sure if venues are raising rates, i thought they might be lowering it to be more competitive?
your venue is gorgeous!! And I LOVE LOVE LOVE the green ribbon around the chairs! That's the green I'm using!!
