On a lighter note...

I just created an inspiration board! :) In this board I just used gold and white.

After seeing how it turned out, I kind of wish we just did gold and white... but THEN...
I had Chrissy at The Perfect Palette create an inspiration board with our colors. I was love. :)

It has such a nice fall feel to it. Ahh, October 11th cannot get here soon enough!

Have you ever wished you chose different colors?

Say a little prayer for me...

I just found out that the I might not be able to start my job as soon as I graduate. :(

I was supposed to start at the end of March. I just got an email saying that I won't be able to start until September. Don't get me wrong, I am so thankful that I have a job lined up... but if I am not able to start until September, then myMr and I will not be able to go on a honeymoon because I will only have 10 hours of vacation time come our wedding day. :( :(

Also, we were hoping to be able to purchase a condo or townhome this year, but it might not be possible now. We took into account the money that I would be able to save from March until the wedding as well as myMr's money when we decided that we could do it. We really want to be able to take advantage of the $8,000 tax break this year.

I am waiting to hear if they will be able to move my start date up at all. Hopefully I will hear soon. Such a stressful day. Please keep us in your prayers.

Follow the yellow brick road...

I stumbled upon the most unique and interesting twist to the standard wedding aisle.

I have heard of having guests seating in a circle around the bride and groom, but I had never seen something like this before.

[Source]

How beautiful does this aerial view look?! I love how it makes the aisle so dramatic. It definitely would not be a brief walk to see your groom. That is probably my favorite part about it. The walk is long and dramatic.

I wish that our venue had a larger ceremony space, because I would love to incorporate this idea into our wedding.

Do you have a unique way of making your grand entrance?

Love is in the air...

I love Valentine's Day.

Although myMr and I attempt to show each other how important we are to each other everyday, sometimes life gets a little hectic. I think it is SO nice to have one day out of the year where we take a step back from our crazy lives and remind our men how special they are to us.

MyMr and I did not do anything crazy for Valentine's day. We slept in nice and late and slowly made our way to lunch at 2:00. Then, he surprised me and said that he had somewhere he wanted to take me. We found ourselves inside of Tiffany's. Goodness, I think that is like every girls dream.

He bought me this gorgeous sterling silver heart necklace from Tiffany's for my birthday, and for Valentine's day, he wanted to get me the matching bracelet. I was so surprised. I seriously couldn't believe it.

Could this possibly be a component of my wedding day attire? Hmm, it just might have to be :):)

I hope you all took some time out to tell/show your SO how much they mean to you.

A Tissue for You...

Thank you SO much for your opinions on the clutch. I am still up in the air about it only because I have SO much time before the wedding (1 day less than 8 months) that I am afraid that I will find something better! haha

I have quite the treat for y'all today...

Have you ever been to a wedding and cried like a baby? I am sure most of us have. Let's be honest here... in the midst of crying like a baby, how unfortunate is that nasal mucus that slowly starts to greet your upper lip. Definitely not attractive. At that point, I think most of us would do ANYTHING to get our hands on a tissue.

Enter DIY Tissue Pouches!!!!

I found these beauties on Martha Stewart's webpage. I don't intend on making over 100 of them (I know most of our guests won't be crying), but I plan on making several for those who most likely will be crying. I think I will place them on the ceremony chairs.

Here are the instructions: Tissue Pouches for your guests

I could go CRAZY with DIY projects. They are SO much fun!!! :)

What has been your favorite DIY project that you have done?

To have and to clutch.

I have a question for all of my fabulous readers...

I have been searching for a clutch for my bridesmaids. I think I have finally found one, but a need a second, and third,( and well you get this idea) opinion.

Do you think that this clutch will go with my girls dresses? Do you think the clutch looks cheeeezy? Do you think I should keep looking, or have I found THE clutch for my b-maids?

Thank you so much in advance!

P.S. I have some SERIOUSLY cute bridal accessories to post about in the VERY near future.

A little inspiration...

It needs a little work, but I finally put together an inspiration board for my wedding. I will add more to it and improve it as the next few months pass by.

I can not believe the countdown is at 8 months and two days.

Thanks to all of your wonderful comments, I have officially decided on wedding day flowers. About time, right?! MyMr and I will be booking our florist in the next couple of weeks. Here is what we decided:

Brides Bouquet (1): White roses. Tightly bunched. No filler. White ribbon handle.
Maid of Honor Bouquet (1): White Baby's Breath. Gold ribbon handle.
Bridesmaid Bouquets (7): White Baby's Breath Bouquets. Fern green ribbon handle.
Junior Bridesmaid Bouquets (4): White Baby's Breath Bouquets. Fern green ribbon handle.
Flower girl petals (4): White Rose Petals (AND TONS OF THEM). Possibly some gold ones mixed in.

Besides the boutineers, the aforementioned flowers are the ONLY ones we will be having at the wedding. We budgeted $1000 for flowers, but I don't see any way that it could be that much. I guess we will find out :)

What kind of flowers will you be having on your wedding day?

Vendor Rave

Hello readers!!!

I hope this very early Thursday morning finds you nice and cozy in your beds.

I just wanted to take some time to rave about this GREAT etsy vendor that I have found. Janet over at Ella Scott Jewels is FANTASTIC.

I have been searching and searching for jewelry for my bridesmaids with no luck. Then, I stumbled upon Janet's blog. I have been eying some adorable earrings that she has made, but I wasn't positive that one of the beads would match my girl's dresses. Well, not only is she willing to custom make the earrings to match the dresses, but she is sending me a green bead in the mail free of charge to ensure that the earring will indeed match the dresses.

Here are the earrings that she has made:

The ones on the left are the ones that she has custom made to match my girl's dresses and the ones on the right are the ones already on her etsy site.

If you are trying to find jewelry, definitely check her stuff out. She also offers discounts if you purchase multiple items. I have nothing but praise for this woman. Go check her out!

Oh and P.S. she is having a contest on her blog right now. You could win a pair of her earrings that aren't even available on her etsy site yet!!!

Just in case you missed the first link, here she is:

Ring Shots

I have had this blog for a little while now, and I have not shown you all my ring. This should be a crime! ;)

The following pictures that my soon-to-be-hubby took of my ring in the photo studio at his office. I will save pictures of my wedding band until later!! Gotta have some suspense, right?!

All three diamonds in my rings are cut in the shape of an octagon. The shape adds more facets, which then in turn adds more sparkle! We LOVE sparkle! ;)

What kind of ring do you have?
