Minimoon is a rising
After months of discussing realistic alternatives to a honeymoon, myMr and I thought we had settled on Catalina Island. It would be nice and close (no plane fare) but still secluded.
I mean, who wouldn't love this view?
But there would still be travel time involved that would take away from the short time that we will be able to take off of work.
Then, myMr and I did something very spontaneous. We booked a night at a luxurious hotel here in San Diego.
This was our view by day...
And that was our view by night.
One word. Gorgeous. Relaxing. Remote. Peaceful. Romantic.
There are far too many one word adjectives to describe how we felt. It truly felt like a vacation and we were only there for one night.
Then it dawned on us. Why go somewhere far and waste our vacation days on traveling when we can start our honeymoon right away close to home? We live in such an amazing city and we have NEVER taken the time to really explore all of it.
So, it is about 90% official that myMr and I will be spending our minimoon in none other than San Diego.
Are there any hot spots in San Diego that I should know about?
Take care until next time,

Fi and i love hiking at Torrey Pines, the zoo, the wild animal park, and Petco Park!
I hope you have a great time exploring the city!
I love San Diego! We went to the Colts @ Chargers football game two years ago. The city is so pretty and there is so much to do! We did Sea World, the USS Missouri, and of course the famous San Diego Zoo (wear VERY comfortable shoes). Petco Park looked very nice but baseball season was over when we were there.
Wow what a great view! What hotel did you stay at? You could always go out to a nice dinner in downtown, there are a lot of nice restaurants. A must do besides the Zoo or Seaworld is the beach. Try visiting the boardwalk at Mission Beach!
