Note to Self:

Stop procrastinating like crazy...

I know you are completely dreading it, but you NEED to book a florist. I'm not picky. Choose any florist. I just need one bouquet and some bouts. C'mon, I know you can handle that simple task.

There are only 2 1/2 months til the wedding and if you don't get a move on, then you will be walking down the aisle with the weeds from your backyard.

That is all.

Exposed: The First Dance

For many couples, the first dance song is either SUPER easy to figure out because it is "your song" or it can be REALLY hard to figure out. There doesn't really seem to be an in between.

For myMr and I, the choice was easy.

The Artist: Bryan Adams

Any guesses?

You are probably wrong haha. Not many people know this song. I have no idea why. It is so beautiful and pure. It is the PERFECT choice for myMr and I for our first dance.

Song Title: I'll always be right there

Lyrics:
I swear to you - I will always be there for you -
there's nothin' I won't do
I promise you - all my life I will live for you - we
will make it through
Forever - we will be
Together - you and me
Oh n' when I hold ya - nothin' can compare
With all of my heart - ya know I'll always be - right
there

I believe in us - nothin' else could ever mean so much
You're the one I trust our time has come - we're not two
people
Now - we are one - ya you're second to none
Forever - we will be
Together - a family
The more I get to know ya - nothin' can compare
With all of my heart - ya know I'll always be - right
there

Forever - we will be
Together - just you and me
The more I get to know ya - the more I really care
With all of my heart - ya know I'll always be...
Ya know I really love ya - ya nothin' can compare
For all of my life - ya know I'll always be - right
there

What do you think?

What is your first dance song?

Bubble Send Off

I spent tons of time the other weekend tying tiny bows on what seemed like a gazillion tubes of bubbles. Man... I really need to delegate some of this stuff to my BM's and MOH. I feel too bad asking, so I end up just doing it myself haha.

Anyways... I spent all of that time in hopes of creating this look and feel at our wedding...

[Source]

[Source]

Sigh. So romantic.

So, here is how the bubbles turned out:

I am in the middle of creating a sign for the bubble basket that says:

"Blow bubbles of good wishes
for the new Mr. and Mrs."

:) :) :)

So... uhm... is it here yet?

What kind of send off are you going to do? Bubbles? Sparklers? Petals? Or is it to be determined?

Take care until next time,
hisMrs

P.S. I got my bubble wands on sale from The Knot. I got 48 bubble tubes for about $6! :)

P.P.S. My canvas giveaway ends SUPER soon!!! It's your last chance to get your entries in!!!

For your tears of joy...

Remember the Tears of Joy packets that Martha got me hooked on a while ago?

No?

Let me remind you:

[Seen here]

Well, I COMPLETED mine!!!

I found the most fabulous vellum paper at Michael's for 30% off. The vellum had white hearts scattered on it!

Also, I purchased a rubber stamp on ebay that says "For your tears of joy." It was only $1.99 on ebay too! Such a steal!

Then, I found a gold stamp pad at Michael's and it definitely completed the look!

Without further ado, here is the final product:
Sorry its super blurry... I took it on my phone in a hurry! They look MUCH better in person!!!

And here they are tucked nicely in their basket that I got for 75% off!!!

Are you going to make Martha's tears of joy packets?

Bling Bling

So, I decorated my $2.99 garter!!! OMG I LOVE IT!!!

Remember how it started?

Here is what I did:

I am OBSESSED with Hotfix Swarovski Crystals! So, I started with those:

Here is what they look like along with the tools used to adhere them to the fabric.

You place the rhinestone on the fabric in the desired location and then press the tool on top of the fabric like so... You hold down for about 5 seconds... and then...

Voila!

I am in LOVE! :) hehe I haven't decorated my toss garter yet. I am still figuring how what to do exactly. I will keep you updated though! :)

Do you Hotfix?

Cake Toppers We <3

In my quest for good bargains this past weekend, I stumbled upon some FANTASTIC cake toppers at none other than Michael's!

I am not sure how much they were, but you can never go wrong with the 40 and 50% off coupons that they have ALL the time.

[This is a SUPER cute beach themed topper! I thought it was super cute!]

[Ok, so this is not a cake topper, but it just matched the above topper SO perfectly that I couldn't help but post this as well! ADORABLE!]

[This one is my absolute favorite! There is some serious bling on the ring. It totally sparkles a lot in person!! It is so unique!]

We already found our cake topper [seen here] which I still LOVE... but these ones are SUPER cute too!

Goodness, I love me some Michael's.

Please tell me there is one nearby your home!

The Birthday Was a Success!!

So myMr had a great birthday yesterday.

Unfortunately we both had to work, but we were able to go to dinner! I left work a little early and purchased a cake at Nothing Bundt Cakes (his favorite) which just happens to be the place we are going to for our wedding [recall here].

I got to the restaurant early so that he wouldn't see me carrying the cake. My parents, his mom (his dad was out of town) and I all met there and had some delish mexican food.

I got him some computer books that he wanted, a DVD, and a year subscription to netflix!

What he doesn't know is that the surprises haven't stopped yet. Tomorrow night I am taking him out to dinner, just us two, to Morton's Steakhouse!

There, I will surprise him with a Blue Ray remote control to a PS3...

... Yep, I got him a PS3 too! It is the best Blue Ray player you can get, so I am surprising him with it at dinner.

He seriously thinks he has already opened all of his presents! haha Man I love surprising people!! :) :)

I'll be sure to take pictures of us all dressed up!! :)

I can't believe how fast time is flying!!!

Here is a Blushing Bride Flashback.

[This is our first picture together! This also happens to be the same day that I met his parents for the first time!!]

[This was taken at his Gospel Choir Concert! We look SO little in this picture!]

[This was from the most AMAZING trip to Disneyland! This is honestly where we fell in love! Let's just say there weren't just fireworks in the sky! ]

I hope you enjoyed this trip down memory lane! :)

Happy Birthday baby! You are the best thing that has ever happened to me! I hope that this birthday is one you will remember forever!!! Next year on your birthday, we will be celebrating it as a married couple!!! I love you so much!

Exposed: The Ceremony Music

Still, to this day, I have a hard time remembering just what music I need to pick out for the ceremony. They use such fancy schmancy names that I can never remember what is what.

So, in this post, I will break down the ceremony music for y'all.

Prelude:
- The prelude is the music that plays before the ceremony begins. I think that this music is VERY important because it sets the tone for the guests.
- This music typically plays about 20 minutes before the ceremony begins
- Usually it is light and melodic music
- Popular Choices:
- Enya
- Bach
- Mozart
- Vivaldi

Music for the seating of the Mothers

- This begins at the end of the prelude
- This is where mothers (and often grandmothers) are escorted down the aisle
- Often the groom will escort the mothers
- Popular Choices:
- Ave Maria
- Jesu, Joy of Man's Desiring
- Cannon in D

Processional for the attendants
- This is the music that plays when your bridal party walks down the aisle
- Often, this will have a "regal" or a "peaceful" tone to it
- Regal:
- Trumpet Voluntary
- Trumpet Tune
- Peaceful:
- Cannon in D
- Jesu, Joy of Man's Desiring
- Air on a G String

Processional for the bride

- This is the music that plays when the bride makes her grand entrance
- The well known song that is played here is the standard "Here Comes the Bride" song
- Now, brides are really becoming creative when it comes to their grand entrance
- Some brides choose to walk down to a meaningful song to the couple
- My Choice:
- Cannon in D --> More on this later

Songs that you may need to choose for during the ceremony
- Music during the unity ceremony
- Music for after the vows
- Music for during communion (for Catholic weddings)

Recessional
- This is what I like to call the "WOOHOO music"
- This is usually very upbeat music because YOU JUST GOT MARRIED AND ITS TIME TO CELEBRATE!!!
- Popular Choices:
- James Brown - I feel good

Postlude
- This is the music that plays while the guests leave
- This is usually upbeat music that gets guests ready to party!!

I hope this helps y'all out a bit!!

A Quote of Inspiration

"Sometimes, right in the middle of an ordinary life, love gives us a fairy tale"

Everytime I read this quote it makes me smile. It is exactly how I feel about myMr. Our love has created this amazing fairy tale that will never end. I get to live a fairy tale in real life.

This quote is definitely making an appearance at our wedding.

It kind of acted as an inspiration to me. After we saw this quote, we looked into having our wedding at Disneyland. (Disneyland happened to be the place we were at when we both realized we were in love!!!) Unfortunately, Disneyland was out of our budget, but the inspiration has not died.

I want to have a very warm, romantic feel at our wedding. I want it to feel inviting and comfortable.

I am hoping to achieve this with lots of mood lighting (both candles and small white twinkle lights.

I mean, honestly, how amazing does this look?!

I just wanted to let y'all know...

THAT I GET MARRIED IN 100 DAYS!!!

Tomorrow we will be in double digits babyyyyy!!!

Now I REALLY wish we were getting married at a winery

After yesterday's DIY wine cork coaster post, I stumbled upon the most ADORABLE DIY cork board.

I could totally see this used as an adorable way to display pictures... or heck, it could even be used as a guest book. Everyone can leave you notes on the cork board.

I think I want to make some coasters and the cork board for my soon to be new home! They are just way too cute to not be made.

What would you hang on your DIY cork board?

Fancy a Favor?

Not gonna lie, these are some absolutely FANTASTIC DIY wedding favors. I would like 12 please.

Could you imagine how adorable these would be if you were having your wedding at a Winery or a Vineyard?! Bernardo Winery Anyone?! C'mon I know you are out there!

I read somewhere that people were finding TONS of the wine corks on ebay for SUPER cheap!

Or, ya know, you could always have a glass of wine or 500 and collect the corks yourself ;) Doesn't sound like a bad idea to me!!! :)

What kind of gift would you like to receive as a wedding guest?
