Unity Ceremony

First of all, I just want to say a big CONGRATULATIONS to Katie over at The Indecisive Bride! Her and her Mr were happily married this past weekend! I hope you two have a fabulous time on your honeymoon in ITALY!!

Second of all, myMr and I FINALLY decided on a unity ceremony!!!

Since we are outdoors, we can't really do a unity candle, and I am not the biggest fan of sand, so we tried to think of something unique.

I think we DEFINITELY did just that.

Sitting adjacent to the arch will be a table with a vase on it. Next to the vase will be two roses, one green and one white (yes, they make green roses!!!).

Then, as our families walk down the aisle, they will each make their way to the vase and place their own roses in it (green for one family and white for another). We will give this rose to each of our grandparents and parents.

So at this point, we should have somewhere near a dozen roses in the vase.

Then, during the ceremony, my Mr and I will place our coordinating roses into the vase as well. Then, we will tie a bow around the stems. This part symbolizes the uniting of the families. I will then use that bouquet as I walk back up the aisle!!

So, basically, my bouquet will clearly be a mix of families all determined by the color of roses, but we will all be united into one big bouquet!!! :)

What do you think?! It is definitely different, but I think it could be JUST what we have been looking for. :)

How are you going to demonstrate the uniting of families?

Take care until next time,
hisMrs
